Our core activity is the operation of regular steam train excursions- The Torbay Express operates between Bristol and Torbay in Devon on most summer Sundays during June, July, August and September.

We are owned by a group of private investors who, in addition to their individual business interests, share a common commitment in securing the future of the Torbay Express as a living example of our railway history.

Our executive team has extensive technical and financial experience in the promotion and operation of steam and heritage excursions on the national rail system.  Investors include locomotive and rolling stock owners and other key professionals. Thus the main elements of the operation are captured within the Company itself and reliance on third parties is minimised.  The team is further underpinned by the partnership of DB Schenker and Riviera Trains Ltd in the operation of all our trains.

We are dedicated to providing our customers with a truly unique and memorable day out, reminiscent of the famous Torbay Express service from 50 years ago..
