There are seats available in Premier Dining, First Class Plus and Standard Class on the last Torbay Express of this summer. Why not join us for a lovely steam hauled day out behind N0. 35018 Clan Line - subject, of course to all the relevant tests being passed and nothing untoward happening!

Unfortunately, the locomotive booked to haul The Torbay Express on Sunday, 2 September, No. 60163 ‘Tornado’, is not available because of on-going repair issues.
The directors of The Torbay Express, the A1 Trust (the owners of ‘Tornado’) and DB Cargo (the train operator) have made every effort to source another suitable locomotive without success. However, No. 35028 ‘Clan Line’ is available the following week and therefore, subject to sufficient support from passengers, it is proposed to re-date the train to run on Sunday, 9 September. All passengers have been contacted by email/letter.

On Sunday, 15 July No. 60009 Union of South Africa will be hauling The Torbay Express (subject to all the usual provisos regarding passing FTR tests and nothing untoward happening) . The locomotive is also booked to haul the Torbay Express on 29 July and 19 August. These will be the only opportunity to travel behind No. 9 along this route as the locomotive is being retired next year and will then go into a museum in Scotland.
It is the first Torbay Express of this summer on Sunday, 3 June and we have caused confusion for our passengers by including the date of another train in the programme (15 July) in the letter we sent out with the Boarding Passes. We are very sorry for this error and look forward to welcoming passengers aboard on Sunday, 3 June!

This will be the second day of the Torbay Air Show, which can be viewed from Paignton Green - avoid all the hassle of parking by travelling on the Torbay Express with us. It is just a short walk (about ten minutes) from Paington Railway station.

It is now less than five weeks until the first of this summer's Torbay Expresses steams its way from Bristol Temple Meads across the Somerset Levels and around the beautiful Devon coast to the English Riviers. We are getting excited and have got our green shirts out of storage in readiness.
We are delighted to announce that our sister company, Pathfinder Tours, is running a steam hauled trip to Parr in Cornwall on Sunday, 17 June.
All the luxury you would have with The Torbay Expres aboard this new Pathfinder Tours train.

We are delighted to announce that the charity raffles aboard this year's Torbay Express trains raised the amazing sum of £2,641.33 for our charity of the year Above and Beyond We are very grateful to everyone who has been involved in the raffles, our fabulous volunteer Stewards who sold the raffle tickets and also all our lovely passengers who bought them.
Above and beyond raises funds to help Bristol city centre hospitals provide more than the NHS can. This includes creating welcoming environments, funding innovative research, supporting staff training and development, and providing state of the art equipment.
The hospitals supported include:
Bristol Royal Infirmary Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre Bristol Heart Institute
St Michael's Hospital Bristol Royal Hospital for Children Bristol Eye Hospital
Bristol Dental Hospital South Bristol Community Hospital Central Health Clinic
On Wednesday 4th October 2017 three of our wonderful Stewards, John, Lesley and Keith, visited the Above and Beyond charity offices to present a cheque for the donation raised through the on-board raffles on this seasons Torbay Express. They were warmly welcomed by Catherine, the fundraising co-ordinator, and were given a brief tour of the three hospitals supported to directly see where the donation will be of benefit. They found the tour very interesting and informative and Above and Beyond were delighted with the amount raised and thanked everyone involved.
